From December 26, 2025 to January 4, 2026, the “Girona’s Grand Christmas Circus” presents one of its most ambitious productions: “Peter Pan on Ice,” a show inspired by J. M. Barrie’s classic that brings the world of Neverland to a large ice rink installed at La Copa (Girona, Spain). The production blends storytelling, skating, and international circus acts, with staging designed to keep the audience immersed in the tale from beginning to end.

One of the pillars of the production is the live music, performed throughout the entire show by the Paris Circus Orchestra, which accompanies each scene with masterful execution and heightens the pace of the performance. Their presence is more than simple accompaniment: it sets the energy, tension, and emotion of every moment, giving cohesion to a long, dynamic show.

Artistically, the show brings together 24 international performers and weaves circus disciplines into the storyline: scenes flow and adapt to the different worlds of the narrative, from the Lost Boys to the pirates and the most magical passages led by Tinker Bell. The production reinforces this sense of journey with large-scale scenery, striking costumes, and visual elements that aim to surprise without breaking continuity.

Among the featured artists is Bubi Guiner, the show’s clown—clever, warm, and with a brand of comedy that wins over the audience and provides a light thread between higher-intensity scenes. Also appearing are the Latin Brothers (Mexico) with a strength act; ice juggler Javier Ignacio (Chile); and the aerial acrobatics of Romanian performer Priscila Krateyl, adding height and risk to the show.

The spectacle also includes an especially powerful segment by the Ukrainian troupe Mos Ice Team, made up of 12 artists—circus performers and skaters—who add precision, energy, and strong stage presence to the overall production.

The World of Javier Urbina: “The Lord of the Bubbles”

As part of its wide range of acts, the show also features bubble artistry, included in the production under the direction of Javier Urbina, “The Lord of the Bubbles.” Onstage, the act is built with a visual and theatrical approach: giant bubbles, vapor bubbles, and interactive moments in which other skaters create bubbles around him, expanding the effect across the rink and shaping a magical atmosphere that complements the Neverland aesthetic.

The act builds toward a high-impact finale, culminating in a spectacular fire bubble over his head—an ending that blends precision, risk, and showmanship, and often leaves the audience feeling they’ve witnessed something truly one of a kind.

Audience Success and Added Performances

The Christmas Circus’ strong reception is also reflected at the box office: the event surpassed 17,000 tickets sold and, due to demand, scheduled an additional performance, expanding the run. Overall, “Peter Pan on Ice” confirms in Girona a winning formula—skating and circus in service of a classic story, enhanced by live music and a production designed for a wide audience.
