Who I am

The artist who turned soap film into spectacle

Javier Urbina (Spain, EU) has spent a career lifting an everyday thing — a bubble — into a true art form, from giant bubbles that swallow a person whole to smoke-filled and cube-shaped bubbles.

His work is as scientific as it is artistic: years of surface tension, detergent chemistry, temperature and humidity — the technical knowledge behind shows that feel like pure magic.
